Casey Greene

Casey Greene, a graduate student in History and Assistant Archivist at the Rosenberg Library in Galveston, was the university's first archivist. For two years he donated just under eight hours per week indexing scrapbooks and organizing the early collection.

In 1991, Greene was hired on to work part-time at eight hours per week. He was provided with an assistant, metal shelving, and archival supplies that were to be set up in a converted storage area within the Neumann Library. For the next ten years, he and his assistant worked to build and organize the collection.
